Right...but the OP stated it's basically going to be a mall crawler. I think for his requirements, the less lift the better...
Yep, I agree. Keep the suspension height down to maintain a comfortable street ride without spending a pile of cash.

A 2.5" suspension lift is plenty. If you want more height/ tire clearance, throw 1"-1.25" BL on with it. If you want more tire clearance, use flat flares (also make the ride height look taller).

You can run a 2.5" suspension, an 1"-1.25" Body Lift, flat flares, and 37" tires for a setup that is going to look huge on the street.

Also are "Zone lift " any good ? I hear their shocks are similar to Fox buy not as pretty. Any truth to that ?
For a JK, you really can't go wrong with Metalcloak, Synergy, or Teraflex. There are a lot of companies that make good complete kits or components for the JK like AEV, OME, Rancho, Currie, Clayton, and JKS. If your looking at budget friendly lifts look into Rough Country. But take into consideration that some of the cheaper lifts will give you the height you want but will require additional parts to give you the ride and handling you want/need.

Avoid using Cam washers for caster correction and Trackbar frame side drop brackets.

For what you want, a couple choices would be:

Metalcloak Overland Sport kit with Control arm drop brackets and rear Axle side trackbar bracket. it's available in 2.5" or 3.5" but if you go 3.5", I would add a front high steer setup to it (raised trackbar and flipped drag link).

JKS has a nice complete kit with the control arm drop brackets, rear axle side trackbar bracket, and also raised front trackbar with high steer but it steps you into a 3.5"

Rough country has a good 1.25" Body Lift that can be added if you want more height.

If you like the appearance of the factory flares but want more tire clearance or a taller look, you can get MOPAR high clearance flares. They allow a 35" tire on the factory suspension and a 37" tire on a 2" lift (I'm sure there are backspacing and bump stop requirements) They look like stock flares and use the same mounting, but are higher to provide more room for the tires and give a taller look.

If your wanting bare minimum in the lift for budget purposes a couple good options are...

Teraflex 2.5"

Metalcloak 2.5" Touring kit

Synergy Suspension 2" Stage 1 kit (you'll still see 2.5"-2.75" of lift)

The online Mopar parts places are selling those Mopar high clearance flares for around $660.
Yea, I just posted the quick easy to find link. $660 makes them a lot more appealing. Ive been looking into them. I like the looks of the factory flares but would like a little more clearance. The flat flares have their advantages, but I have mixed feelings about their look. Plus I have tire coverage to worry about. Some/a lot of flat flares have less coverage than factory.
