1st let me thank every one on here for so much great Jeep info. I just got my 1st jeep a 83 cj5. i've had a few IH scouts and a few f150 4x4's and most recently a tube chassis baja bug with a ford 2.3 turbo motor.. but the jeep is it's own animal that i'm looking forward to trail and sand dune use. i'm hoping to draw on some of my earlier prerunner / sand buggy info and style to build a fun jeep for the family.. Thanks a million and looking forward to may more happy hours on this great site

Photos of my Jeep in Glamis. The paddles are Dune Sport I's in the back and Desert Track's in the front. They work great, but had to lift the Jeep 4" and put on Xenon flat fenders in order to stop busting the fenders off as you roll over the razor backs.

Need paddle tires

Where can I find rear paddle tires for my '78 CJ5?

Sand Tires Unlimited makes them. Or Skat Trak will bond scoops onto whatever size tire you send them. What type of paddles are you looking for? What kind of horsepower are you trying to use?

Both guys are great to talk to and can give some recommendations. I would highly recommend however, you really take into consideration how much power you have. Putting too much tired under a Jeep is one of the most common mistakes I see people make, and it kills power.
