Rear end

I have 35's but want to get a upgraded rear end first. I was looking for used Dana 44 but can't find any locally. I found some 8.8's one geared 3.73 and one 4.10. My stock gears now are 3.73 front and rear. If I get the 4.10 would I have to re gear the front axle? Or should I get the 3.73 rear end and re gear them later on?

To answer maybe a little differently, 3.73 or 4.10 won't be best suited for 35s. So both axles will require regearing for best performance.

Maybe you already knew this. The 4.10 will be a little better, until you regear both front/rear, if you don't need 4wd.
