Had my Jeep for just about two weeks now and everything has been great so far.
Until tonight when the radio went all hay wire on me!
It's either zero or nothing as 1 is pretty much full volume and this volume is the same through all the number.

Tried disconnecting the battery to reset the system and that did not help, just caused me to redo the entire setup...

I have an appointment tomorrow to drop the Jeep off to get it checked out.
Not too impressed by this already but it does have a LOT of electronics on board.
Either way, I will update with what they find and how it was remedied.

Wonder what the loaner will be...:smile2:

Sounds like a bad radio. Setting are stored in flash so you shouldn't have had to set anything back up after the reset.

Pretty boring update for everyone...
No resolution as the problem corrected itself over night. When I started her up this morning, the volume control had returned to it's normal working condition.
I am just happy that a few of the guys at the dealership heard it first hand last night.

When I called this morning to let them know the problem had corrected itself, they were a bit concerned as they had never heard of this issue before.
I was asked to bring it in if it ever happened again.

Last night after posting I did a bit of research online for this exact issue and came up with quite a few complaints.
Some rectified themselves while others required full radio swap outs to correct the issue.
It seems to be a bit hit and miss and a certain sequence of events needs to happen first.
Some recommended muting the radio if you had park assist off before reversing while others advocated waiting for the car to go through it's entire startup and accepting the radio before reversing.

So for now it is all good again! Let's hope it lasts!
Now on to more serious things, like upgrades again...LOL!

This just happened to me. I drive this car daily. Got in this morning, all was well. Just now and there are 2 volume settings 0 and full blast. Doesn't matter if AM, FM, or Sirus. Took to the dealership an got the usual.. they dont have a technician that can look at it.. have had no other complaints.. can we leave it, bring in first thing Monday and they will ty to get to it.

I have owned 5 Jeeps in my life and have never had this much trouble. We also had the update fail mid-update, so we reverted back to defaults and that failed. Battery died several times. Each time had to get service to come out and charge then take to dealership. They had to replace the whole console which took 3 weeks. They had no loaners but said to get a rental and turn in receipt... so I did. Nothing. They are ignoring my texts, calls, and emails. Then we were driving with friends and had pulled into a parking lot (thank God) and the car died. Completely. Just stopped. There is a noise coming from the front right shock but I dare to take it in.

My 19 Limited did the same thing a few months ago - full blast during a drive and it was back to normal after sitting for an hour. Only happened one time (so far). Like you, I searched the web and found this to be a somewhat common issue but no definite fix.

Hi Nejeep,
Should this concern return and you choose to visit your local dealer for an official diagnosis, feel free to follow up with us in PM with your VIN. We'd be happy to provide additional assistance alongside them.
