Hello I recently purchased a 1985 Jeep CJ7 that had been modified with a 304 AMC motor - Question is there is a hose hooked to a vac port on the back of the motorcraft 2150 carb that was connected to a port at the back of the manifold. The hose had a pcv valve midtream. The engine ran rough and would not idle on a cold start. I removed the hose from the carb and plugged the vac line on the carb and the engine smoothed out. This setup is unfamiliar to me as I am used to the hose and pcv valve being connected to the breather on the valve cover. Has anyone seen or heard of this setup and is it correct?
