Pros Automatic action, OEM
Cons Consumable parts (friction materials)
Recommended yes

Comments: I have a fresh rebuilt D44 with 3.73's and trac-loc in the rear end of my Jeep. Not too sure the friction materials will stay together for that long, but I am happy with the performance of it. Very nice to have. Spins awesome donuts

Pros it works!! both tires spin. Rooster tails on gravel roads.
Cons definitely gives more torque to one side, but barely
Recommended yes

Comments: I got this LSD axle for free, because I helped a friend transfer his built up lift onto another Jeep shell. That shell was on supposedly "junk" axles, when he bought it. We took the axles off and noticed that the rear tires spun the same direction, after pulling the cover, I realized it was posi!! I bolted the feller up and Its been working out great. I definitely have more grip in slippery conditions. I would highly recommend this, if you can find a cheap one. Jys tend to charge too much for axles nowadays.

Pros The trac lok is an awesome limited slip. A little pull on the emergency brake in the snow or mud and it practically locks itself. Smooth operation, and just as good as a Detroit true Trac
Cons IT LOVES THE LIMITED SLIP ADDITITVE!!!! ($$$)
Recommended yes

Comments: Great Factory Limited Slip id say. and no side effects of a locker, but almost as good with the right throttle play

Pros Fits a variety of applications using Dana Spicer axles and diffs.
Cons Useless, barely engages, clutch packs wear out.
Recommended no

Comments: I installed a new one 7 years ago in my XJ (Dana trac-lok) and a detroit true-trac in the front. I wish I hadn't even wasted the money on it as it is useless, even from the beginning when the clutch packs were new. The true trac does all the work. I'm not sure I've even seen both tires spin with this LSD on gravel. I would rather run an open diff than put this thing in again.

Pros No quirks or bangs. good for street and slippery conditions.
Cons Doesnt grab enough for offroading. especialy with wide tires
Recommended yes

Comments: not good for offroad. doesnt look up enough, however it is very realiable. Special additive required. easy install. good if you need a replacement carrier and want a cheap upgrade that every garage would accept to install

Pros Included from factory
Cons Not a true locker
Recommended yes

Comments: On the list to replace with a selectable locker but it will have to work until then
