Hi,

I have been doing a lot of forum reading and can’t seem to find an answer to my issue. I have a 4.0L 1997 Wrangler. My Jeep often has a hard time starting and I think I have narrowed it down to fuel pressure. If I turn my key to the on position I can hear my fuel pump turn on for 3 seconds. If I repeat this 3 times before starting my Jeep fires up. I figured it was the fuel pressure regulator and dropped my gas tank last weekend to replace it. After replacing it I am having the same issues. When I push in the schrader valve on the fuel rail (when the Jeep is off) no fuel comes out. So it seems like the new fuel pressure regulator wasn’t the issue. Is there another check valve that I am missing that will keep my fuel line primed? Any other ideas that would cause a lack of fuel pressure? Thanks in advance!
