ok so i got 05 LJ. she's my DD but when i go to the trails i dont hold back. anyways my next purchase will be the 35's. now with this i have learned that upgrading steering linkage and brake systems is highly reccomended. also im going to get an inch BL.

now im just trying to figure out which to get. i hear the EBC brake stuff is very good and i know currie products are execellent. i dont want to spend a fourtune but i know that you pay for what you get and i dont want some POS parts

Vanco ftw....
I would definately look into a heavy duty tie rod, some better brake pads, and maybe some chromo shafts for the 30 front axle!
I picked up a ZJ tie rod and drag link for $25 from a junk yard, and tie rod boots for $5. Didn't have time to swap it in before a trip and wanted to see what the stock tie rod would take. Well it bit the dust on the first day and I swapped in the ZJ rod then proceeded to run it straight into a rock and only scratched it. Best bang for the buck, I vote ZJ tie rod.

As for brakes. I can lock up my 35"s @ 40. Not saying they are close to stock or that everyone's will still perform, but going from your 33"s to 35"s is only 1" more of leverage against them and a few more lbs. Although if you feel yours are lacking, Vanco seems like the way to go. Read up on them, the issue with stock brakes is more than just the pads.
what is the strength of the zj compared to say a RE, RR, or currie system?

WOW look at the price on the vanco stuff lol

The ZJ rod is a solid rod, vs the stock one being hollow. I would think the other after market steering systems would be stronger than the ZJ rod but price and availability were the deciding factors for me.

As for the price, yeah...
are there any other things that i would have to do with me getting the 1in body lift? 4.5 now. i know its only a inch but just want to be sure
DEFINITELY get the Currie steering. the ZJ tie rod is a bit stronger than the stock TJ linkage but its nothing compared to the Currie linkage. you get MUCH beefier TRE's and the drag link and tie rod themselves are massive. you wont be disappointed with the Currie system.

the BL, if its not part of the kit, will require a t-case shift linkage kit as well so theres no issues with shifting into and out of 4wd.

and the vanco stuff is worth the money
any other brake reccomendations other than the vanco stuff? they might be great but is there another very good alternative that dont break the bank?

I hear good things about centric rotors and the EBC yellow pads. It won't match the Vanco kit, but it's an upgrade at least.
is the ebc stuff good enough to last awhile before going to the vanco

There's a thread in this section on it, search "Centric Rotors".

They're a nice upgrade and should be able to do the job for the most part. I'm sure Mr Blaine could be of more use on this subject.
I just put the Centric rotors and EBC pads on and I think they are great so far. I just have to be very gentle with the brake pedal in the snow.
ok so im going to go with centric rotors all around, yellowstuff in front, green in rear. tires i know what im getting. now with this body lift. i looked up the transfer case linkeage kit and cant seem to find one. anyone got a link? will this extra inch require a motor mount lift also? i do have the sye/cv shaft already
get a novak shifter.. it freakin rocks.
yeah but is it required? or just reccomended?

It's not required... Maybe the best but price is too rich for my blood.

Lots of options will work to deal with the shifter, most body lifts come with a bracket FYI...

Here are the two options I am looking at I'm leaning towards the Tera Flex because I like the adjustment...

what exactly does it do and where does it connect?
I believe both relocate the mounting for the shifter from the body to the transfer case. I know for sure the AA does.
