New to the forums, first post here, in need of some help.

Backstory: Fiance's exhaust disconnected at header/y-pipe flange at some point, did the typical ignorant and lazy thing, drove around with it sounding like a busted safari vic, come to find out the bolts are both completely gone and the heat from the exhaust melted a lot near the battery and fuse box. Plethora of CELs must have been set off, didn't even bother scanning, reason being...well you'll see from the pictures. Battery was actually melted to the tray, couldn't get it out without breaking part of the tray and pulling the battery and tray out as one piece. TIPM survived for the most part, minor melting with the lid and slightly around connectors, but I guess we'll find out when I put everything back together. 2008 JKU 3.8L

I've already located pigtails for the the TIPM/fuse box or whatever you want to call it and new battery tray. I still need to find a new fuel vapor canister purge valve, the connector to it, two lines and one more electrical connector male and female ends but have no idea what to search for.

Can you folks help me out with what to search for:
Two lines (I assume go to purge valve, green in front of manifold, red leads behind manifold)
Electrical connector (highlighted green, connector is black in color)

If I fix this I get the Harbor Freight gold plated ratchet as a trophy haha (I know that may not be big to anyone but I'm pretty easy to make feel appreciated and I'm too cheap to buy it for myself

The best thing to do is find a a first generation JK at a salvage yard that you can pull needed parts off of.

Yeah that's my next move if I can't get something delivered for a reasonable price.

Yeah definitely so. The battery plastic plastic was brittle enough that I cracked it at one point spilling the acid a little bit. The electrical tape and plastic is all melted but the wires themselves actually still seem okay, pliable and no burning, maybe safe to just re-use? Definitely glad no fire from it, was probably a few days away from it but oh well.

I swapped out about 4 connectors, pin by pin which was a blast. I still have no idea what those two lines are called and I'm still chipping away at the last connector. Anyone with some more insight?

And another question, theoretically, could I not just splice matching wires together and skip the plastic connector?

I would think you could splice them, just creates issues later if you have to separate it.
