I’m back with a new ZJ. After the unfortunate accident where my last ZJ was rear ended, I finally found a good replacement. It’s a 1995 limited 5.2 with 165k miles. It’s definitely in better shape than my last ZJ. I have looked at a lot of turds in the past couple months. This one was the right combination of price and the right condition.

The plans are to
Basic maintenance
TC swap
4” long arm lift
Fender flares
33” inch tires

mostly just like my last ZJ.

I like it looks like mine but it's a 4.0 and even your door courtesy light works on it mine don't

My last ZJ was a 4.0. It was in rougher shape than this one. I’m surprised all of the electronics work, even the VIC.

Those are the best seats. Wish I can drop those in my wj
No such thing exists as a good stock seat in a Jeep - apart from the SRT models and 392 JL/ JT.

ZJ and WJ seats are leaps and bounds more comfy than anything today unless you go top range.

nice looking limited! Why throw flares on it though? I mean…it’s so clean as is! Haha

I replaced my stock radio head unit. It was cutting out and finally gave up the ghost. I replaced it with a cheap Boss unit.

Nice! About how much do those go for? My factory radio is done for and I'd like something simple to replace it.
I got it for $199 on crutchfield. It came with an install kit and wiring harness included.

Replaced my front control arms. They were pretty bad. The bushings were rotted.

I’m looking at long arm kits for my ZJ build. I want to go with the Rough Country long arm kit. They only make it in 4” lift. Has anyone swapped out the springs and shocks with 5.5” or 6” spring/shocks? Can the long arms accommodate up too 6” of list? Anyone with some experience?

Yes you can go bigger. Just get the kit minus the shocks and springs if you can. They are terrible.

Yes, they have a long arm kit minus shocks and springs. I was thinking IRO 5.5” springs and some Bilstein 5100 shocks. I figured the 5.5” springs would settle and would be about 5” after a while.
