I like that color! Is that the Warn grill guard up front? It looks "bigger" than the one I've got on mine for some reason... Maybe just because you're missing the winch?

So, I took off work a little bit early yesterday, and went ahead and got started to see what i could get done.

I got the rear axle completely disconnected, except for the brake line and the axle breather hose. Just got to lower the leaf springs and pull the thing out.

I need to get a line wrench or something to get that brake line off though. it was being a pain. I don't really want to end up rounding it off or anything like that.

It really only took me like an hour to get everything off and loosen everything. Then like another 30 minutes messing with the e-brake lines, they were hung up a bit. Easy stuff.

Rest of it going in on sunday, along with the D30 front.

8.8 rear/ new d30 front Install Progress

here's where I stand w/ what I have left to do.

Rear:
0. drill u-bolt plates to fit over washers/resecure plates and bolts
1. put in driveshaft u-joint clip
2. attach axle breather hose
3. secure brake line to frame
4. secure brake line to axle
5. attach/route e-brake cables
6. drill frame and install MORE upper shock mount bracket
7. done. put on tires and release.

Front:
0. Jack up.
1. remove u-bolts
2. lower one side of spring
3. disconnect steering bars
4. swap rotors, calipers, vacuum motor from old d30
5. put in new axle, and step in reverse.

hey, looks like you still have your work cut out for you. If i finish early enough with my RMS, like i said, i'll defanitly send you a PM if you still need any help. Why couldn't you get one of your other buddies to help you with the jeep? one of them looks like he could lift the hole damn thing up and not break a sweat. lol. IDK how much help i can be but i'll try. PM me with where you live in k-ville, is it far off of main street or w/e the hell its called with all the stores and stuff.

haha yeah it's not too bad. I prob wont be messing w/ it on saturday at all. sunday all day though i should be there w/ it.
