Nice write up.
I rather buy a used MC off ebay or upull-it yard and just rebuild it from now on. The ebay guy to me as you said has terrible instructions and to me thats 99% of peoples issues with getting new one from autozone and installing it.
They dont want to guess where the hoses hook up and if its jetted right.
The one I got from him was jetted wrong and had the wrong power valve.
