Hi Guys,

I've got a 1994 Grand Cherokee 5.2L and I tow a bunch going to races. Also I have a motorcycle carrier for the rear hitch when I'm just carrying one bike and the weather is not too bad. Both lower the rear.

So I'd like to level the ZJ when towing. I was thinking Monroe air shocks with air for towing and no air for normal driving. Has anybody had experience with these shocks or is there a better option?

The part number for the shock is MA773.

Thanks in advance.

I put a set of Air Lift air bags in our ZJ about 15 years ago and they still work well…

I would say bags too. leafs its a win win since you want a good shock that is Gas not air. air just helps when at max load. You really dont want to lift by a shock mount much they are not made for it. Unless its like a coil over system then you dont need bags you could tune it

Wifes 4x4 Excursion is lifted on 35s rear has bags . shocks are Blistein.
