Hey

I have a lifted grand cherokee, 35's and bumpers are in excess of 24" offf the ground anyway to get this to pass a state inspection without lowering it back to factory?

I have an ARB on the front and a homemade bumper on the rear. Can I build some extensions that attach to the bumper to give it a lower measuring point or am I screwed?

There's a bit of controversy over this...Massachusetts law reads that a max of 2" lift is allowed, but there is also a section that cites a wheelbase and wheel track formula that give you a little more leeway (only .5" on my rig.) That also being said, there are places you can go that will slap a sticker on for you. Not sure about NH, but I think if you had a 6" lift on 40's they probably wouldn't care.

Also, measurement is usually taken at the rocker panel to determine is lift is legal or not. The measurement at bumper is used to determine if the bumper you're running is legal. Mass, however, doesn't have any specifications in their GS about bumper height.

In mass I think at one time it was 30" from the bottom of the door.
When getting asticker put on small trires.

I live in northern NH in Gorham Good thing is they measure 30" from the ground to the bottom of the bumper or frame so youd be in the clear in NH.
