====LIST of STATE MIRROR LAWS====

237472 Views 6 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  rustywrangler
Since it's summer and a lot of people will be taking the doors off, I thought I'd start a thread about the legal aspect of running with no mirrors. It seems lots of people think they have to have them, and a lot just want them, but I thought I'd post up specific laws regarding them.

If you have any first-hand knowledge that the below is out-of-date please PM me. I make no guaranty that the below is legally binding, it is simply what is available from the more official, state sponsored websites.

In summary, most states only require a windshield mounted rear-view mirror. If you cannot see out your rear-window, then most of those require an outside mounted mirror. Only a handful of states actually require a left mounted mirror, or left and right mirrors.
