Lifting the Jeep - Shop Recommendations

919 Views 10 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Grewe02
Hi all,

It's been quite some time since I poked my head around these parts but I hope to get back in the action here soon.

I recently moved and gave up my garage/work area for a nicer location/condo so I need either shop recommendations or if someone is interested in a day project and has the tools, I have the money.

I'm not trying to go bankrupt in the process so I'll take any feedback available.

Parts to be installed:

3" Shocks and Springs
1.25" Body Lift
New Wheels for my mounted 31's (Obviously a shop for this one is best)

Who did you buy the parts thru?

For obvious reasons to most people here, I would say go to 4WP in El Cajon. Stay away from ORW off balboa. Others might make recommendations. There's also a few people here that might offer a driveway if you throw the wrenches, and bring beer/wings of course.
Come by my shop I'll do it for you at a good price.

How much did they charge for drive shafts, if you don't mind me being nosy? I'll be in the market for a new pair shortly.

They build stuff for ProComp, 4WP etc. Nice guys, lots of parts on the shelf. Back when I had the JK I had them quote some shafts and they were very competitive.

As an added bonus, Coronado Brewing and Ballast point tasting rooms are within a mile..
