I own a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 3.6, little over 100,000 miles.

I noticed a leak appearing under my car, mostly only when parked on an incline. At the bottom of the engine on the pan I noticed a good amount of fluid sitting there, probably also mixed with some water.

Not sure if it is the transmission cooler leaking or something else leaking? Fluid only is sitting on right side of the pan, the left side is completely dry. ; pictures below, more info below pictures.

Also then noticed, maybe fluid, coming out of this part; which I believe is the transmission cooler. Only seems to be fluid on the right side, and not the left.

Anyone able to give me any information on what this leak is?

Thanks so much!

Wipe your finger through it. Red is transmission fluid. Certain smell too. Could be the lines going into the heat exchanger leaking.

I had a leak on the front drivers side a few months ago. Thought it was the power steering cooler hoses.

Ended up being the transmission heat exchanger. 😕

Transmission cooler is part of the AC condenser. $750 later it's fixed.

Not really a hard job, but the AC system reclaim and recharge is the most difficult. Removing the front of plastics isn't too hard.

With the pictures are you able to tell what it might be?

Nonetheless, I've had the transmission cooler replaced by a mechanic, was still leaking so I took it back, and then they said it was a power steering leak... :/

I just want to get other people's opinions before continuing further.

Well, if the mechanic just did the job they gave you junk parts. Sure looks like a failed transmission heat exchanger to me.

PS hoses are on the drivers side. You have to say driver or passenger side, not right and left side.
