Different bolt patterns,you will need spacer/adapters which require a lift then.

add to the lifts jeepinbyal has a 4 and 6 in lift for the liberty but really ill get back to ya in a yr about my lift im trying out im combinding 2 lifts and putting als a arms in to make a 4 in lift over the summer and i think it may just work

well if my idea is right i can do a 6 in ids lift on my liberty by buying longer struts the top brackets arent part of the strut so that and als a arms and for the rear i need longer springs longer arms and a longer driveshaft but at the moment i am going for a 4 in lift kit which will bring my rear arms all the way down and my driveshaft should fit i jacked it up 4 in from origional height and the tires still sat on the ground so i think i should be fine

Car Alarms

I would like to see something for people trying to install alarms. I am having issues finding some of the wiring or what to do with the wires I cannot find On the Alarm system.

Well, CRD stands for common rail diesel but it might as well have stood for common rail direct injection, like Kia and Hyundai's CRDI engines.

Also the 05-06 CRD's have the 545RFE 5speed auto trans.

The 06 CRD also has the NV242 transfer case

So do '07 CRDs abroad.

If you read the Novak guide to the NSG 370 six speed manual gearbox it says it has a maximum input torque rating of 271 ft/lbs...But my 2005 KJ 2.8 CRD, which also has a six speed manual gearbox, has a maximum output torque of 296ft/lbs...way more than NGS 370 can handle! So is there another six speed gearbox used for the VM 2.8 Diesel powered KJ's that you are unaware of?

Let me add a "Here, here". I'm a new Liberty 4x4 owner without the requisite owners manual and I have no idea which 4wd mode to use when.

4x4 Hi (with "part time" lit on dash) is for road use, and it uses normal road gear ratios so you can go as fast as you normally can, but it should only be used when extra traction is needed, say in snow and ice...It should not be used all the time, or it will ruin your tyres in no time and can cause accelerated wear to you drive train components. 4x4 Lo is for off road use, and uses lower gear ratios, which means you can't go as fast but you get more torque at the wheels, just what you need to help pull your KJ up steep off road gradients. But as before, do not use it all the time, and never when on the road as you will over rev your engine whilst not going very fast.

I popped in to see what is new here, and I see that there's really not much new since 2011...

I use to have an '02 Sport, and it was a beast off road. I have recently picked up an '02 Renegade with a bad transmission,but everything else is in almost perfect condition, including the body. Here's some info to add. The Renegade with the roof mounted lights was introduced in mid 2002 and only ran through ??? model year. It was an upgrade to the Sport. It came with body colored aluminum five spoke wheels. I'm sure that there's more, but I'll learn this as I go.
