Pros Look good and easy to install
Cons Too heavy for factory deck to push
Recommended no

Comments: So far these speakers sound terrible. I am sure its b/c the factory deck is too weak to push them. May amend my post after I get an amp or a new deck.

Pros Good price, sound great for the price, look to be durable,
Cons Speakers don't fit in TJ pods without some modification...
Recommended yes

Comments: Overall, I think that these speakers are a great deal. Price is right, construction looks good, performance is adequate for the price point. I have these powered by the factory stereo and they sound great.

My one complaint (which is not a hit against Kenwood just a Jeep TJ application complaint) is that the speakers don't fit in the factory TJ Pods with out cutting off the outer most ring on the speaker chassis. I used a metal cuttoff wheel and my dremil tool to trim them down to fit. This outer ring is there in the case that you want to use the supplied speaker grills (which are awful looking) it was kind of a biotch to cut them off.

After they were carefully trimmed, they dropped right in.

Note: if you plan to do this modification, I would suggest that you use some masking tape and cover every surface of the speaker cone and magnet. The metal shavings will stack up on the surface of the speaker like Wooly Willy. Its almost impossible to clean off so just tape up the surfaces and carefully peel off the tape when your done cutting. Use a metal file to clean up the edges.

Pros great sound quality
Cons not as much bass as original speakers, but the sound is more crisp
Recommended yes

Comments: these speakers are really good, they dont punch quite as hard as the originals but the sound is crisper and clearer than the originals.
