Nice info, I may have to use it. Currently my steering controls don't work. Gonna try and remedy that when it comes out the dash next time. I remeber reading something about the negative wire being grounded or something and the controls menu in the radio should pick up on the steering wheel......we'll see

Here is a video about wiring a PAC harness to a Joying.

The same principles would apply to Seicane or Dasaita. And if the default harness doesn't work with the Alpine and/or Infiniti, it will definitely work with a PAC.

@Mike-Mike

How about an update on the Seicane?

I really like the idea of the 10.1" screen and Android 6 but hesitate on anybody else except Joying because of Joyings support and my lack of issues with the one I had in my Ram.

I have the Seicane with Android 6.0 in for a bit and I like it. It seems to have a more Android like version of Android on it if that makes sense.

If you order anything from Seicane you can use "5after12" as a coupon code.

I have the 7.1 Seicane ordered and should be delivered tomorrow. I also bought some LED headlights from there.

I will post some when I get a chance.

I loved Joying for a long time, but the main guy I talked to, "Rambo", is not there anymore and it appears their customer service has gone downhill.

And I absolutely loved that 8 inch head unit that I had with 2GB of RAM and the Intel processor, but it did die on me. Now they were cool and replaced it, but I think they had a lot of problems with those Intel units running hot.

Looks like on their new videos they are going to MTCD and PX5 like the Dasaita and the 7.1 Seicane.

@Mike-Mike whats the best way to update them? Their saying to download file on my laptop to an SD card then insert that into headunit and open file......
Yeah, if you have the newer Joying you just have to put the file on a MicroSD card or a USB

As soon as you put it in it should pop up saying there is an update

This video is Dasaita, but it is essentially the same principles

Ok, Thanks Mike! Gonna try and update it tomorrow. I'll report back with how it went.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on the Seicane unit.

I just fried my Pioneer, the CB and my ham rig this weekend driving home from Windrock. When I left the house on Thursday, the long range wx report was sunshine and high 70's to low 80's all weekend so i went with no doors and no roof. Sunday, it starts to rain and I had an 8 hour drive home. While I made a makeshift top out of a tarp, I still had more water into the Jeep that I wanted and it intruded into the CB and HU. The ham rig was in a puddle under the passenger's seat. They may dry out but I'm not hopeful.

Use the coupon code "5after12" to get a 5%discount

Sucks your stuff got fried, but I think once you go full Android you will have a hard time going back.

I think the Seicane 7.1 is the way to go, still waiting on mine to be delivered.

But I am currently running the Seicane 6.0

I had the Joying 4.4 in my RAM so I understand the advantages of full Android. I want the 10.1 screen to run maplets on when wheeling. It works on a 6.2" screen but can be tough to read at times.

I also would prefer not to have to mod the JK like I had to with the RAM when I made the double din radio fit a 1.5 din dash opening. That's why the Seicane is really attractive and they have android 7 units, while Joying is still pushing android 6 units that would require dash mods instead of a bezel swap.

I saw the discount code but to use that, I need to pay the shipping at $77 for standard shipping. I can buy the unit thru ebay for the web price with free shipping so spend $20 to save $57 seems to make more sense to me.
