Hello All,

I purchased a 2006 TJ Golden Eagle about a month ago with 133k on it and I have been pushing it pretty hard since. Yesterday I was ripping up a sand hill with about a 50 degree grade and dug myself in towards the top after fighting with it a little bit and 15-20 seconds of really aggressive tire hop.

Now, I hear a really loud snapping or popping noise when i am coming out of a left hand turn in gear. I can't emulate the noise in neutral, and it only happens when turning left. When the noise happens the truck also shutters really hard.

Usually the noise happens 1-3x per instance, and i can drive it normally buy taking left hand turns with the clutch in or in neutral.

One of my buddies thinks that i chipped one of my spider gears in my rear end (dana 44).

That makes sense to me, but I wanted to see if anyone here had any theories on what it could be?
