J53 Fuel Gauge Always Shows Full

Automotive tire Motor vehicle Gauge Wood Measuring instrument

How it’s going everyone. Has anyone ever had an issue where the fuel gauge always shows full unless turned off? Anytime it’s on it’s past full. See pic for reference. I’ve replaced the fuel sending unit and followed wiring and can’t locate this. The only thing I haven’t tried is replace the line from the sending unit to the gauge and replace the actual gauge. Appreciate any help.

There is a short in the circuit somewhere.

I would disconnet the sender wire at the gauge. The needle should immediately fall back to zero. Try the same at the sender and see if it falls back. Then probably put in a new wire to the sender.
