Installed JKS 1"25 + motor mount kit.

I put about 300 miles on my 03 X sense adding new bumpers that have been
Line x'ed with a tire carrier and winch mounts about 100 lbs total, and a 1"25 body lift with motor mounts.

Adding the motor mounts was a great idea because it saved alot of cutting.
Many thanks to Rub1con!
But I can't get the shift into 4 wheel low. Do I have to cut into the console a little?

Also, after taking off the old bumpers that have almost no weight to them at all and adding the new bumpers the Jeep drives alot different.
The Jeep has 50k miles on it and I think the OEM shocks are beat already and it has never been off road.
I need to add a suspension lift sooner then I thought now.

Try adjusting your transfer case linkage. That should hopefully solve your issue of not being able to shift into 4Low. This link has some more detailed instructions. Its a pretty simple adjustment. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?referrerid=59358&t=465012
I just installed the JKS BL and BMML today. The instructions said that if you did a mml with the bl you don't need to adjust linkage. But like you, I couldn't shift into 4lo either. I adjusted the linkage with the included bracket and set it up in the "A" position.

Now all works fine. I did pull up the little clip that holds up the shift boot (on the manual transmission) about and 2 inches and that fixed the problem I had with shifting into 2nd, 4th and Reverse.

Did you do the MML or the BMML? Just wondering if there's a big difference.
I had to install the bracket which came with the kit . It put a little tapping under my feet. I'm gonna end up with the aa bracket.
Hmmm, AA bracket? what does that exactly look like?
I installed a 1" BL and 1" JKS BMML and the Advanced Adapters bracket for the 4WD shifter was by far the best solution. Shifts are so smooth now you have to be careful not to overshoot your target and go right to nuetral. For roughly $35 (if memory serves) you have a good solution that insures you don't have any binding. I highly recommend it.

You can find in via Google or Advanced Adapters site...

Thanks,

Thanks,
Thank you. Wish they had a pic of the part though.

There is no difference.

If you didnt do the mml then you should have installed the tc linkage bracket supplied in your JKS bl kit.
I'm told you dont need the bracket if you put spacers in to lift the motor.. Is that correct?

If you lift it of 1" adding a spacer, or if you reach the same ammount of lift changing the entire mm, the result it's the same. I did the BL (1.1/4") + MML (1") and i had to use the bracket on the first position to bring things in the right location. It now shift better than stock. an AA would be much better by the way.

Ok, thanks. I'll install it...

If you change the space between the body and the transfer case (t-case lowering kit, body lift,... ) you have to adjust your linkage.

Skyjacker's bracket eliminates the mount on the body tub with a stand-alone bracket system.AA's fixes the immediate problem, but it you cahnge something in the future, you will have to mess with it again. So w/ the Skyjacker bracket, all you have to do when you do a body lift or t-case lowering, is adjust the trunnion bolt on your linkage. Smooth-as-butter shifting after install.

There are also replacements of the entire linkage system. Can't find a link for that right now. But the Skyjacker bracket will get it done.
