Well folks, I said I was going back to an XJ so that's what I did. Just a recap on my previous Jeeps...

My first XJ the day I sold it. 95' Sport 5 speed...

My second.... 87' Waggy XJ w/ factory 44 and HP non disco 30. Wish I kept this one...

And of course, my TJ I just recently sold....

Well after my TJ, I started looking for my next XJ. I knew I wanted a 97'+, so that's what I went after. While searching craigslist, I came across a 99' with 130k miles. Girl that owned it said it needed a radiator. All it really needed was a cap. Talked her down to $1600 and brought it home. Had some awesome seat covers and looked and smelled like an ash tray inside...

So are you going with a BDS 4 link?? Cuz TNT and Clayton "long arm kits" arent 4 links.....ther radius arms/2link setup in sort of theory:D

on a side not for BUMP STOPS go to the Junk Yard!!! Ive been keeping notes at work like a lil nerd and

older toyota pickups have a decent rear bumpstop
but the better choice seems to be 03- and up rear bumps off a ram 1500 somethin to look at and is def gonna be cheaper than daystar or some place like that

Haha, Clayton is what I'll go with. And I think I know what I'm doing for bumpstops. But right now I am looking for good prices on gears and master installs...

are you going with the radius arms then ? the johnny joints are bigger on the 3 link:thumbsup:, plus you can upgrade to the 4th link for around 320$ if you want to add it later. it would take some exhaust mods but would work..
I'm not really sure yet. I decided I'm going to get the rear axle done first and wheel it on short arms ( the stock ones) for a little while. I like both designs, it's hard to decide!
So I decided to pick up an 8.25 instead of swapping in the 8.8. It will just make things a little easier, has enough strength for me, and is the same gearing as the 30. I also ordered new u bolts, u bolt plates, extended front bumpstops, and some hockey pucks

No pics at this time but I do have the 8.25 swapped in but I got some headaches to take care of first :rantscream: ORS bumper came in and it is painted up, just need to put it on. I'll get some pics up this week....
Get your cell man, I'll be in Richmond next week, might try and wheel some over break
Wait, where are you now? I thought you lived and went to school in Richmond...

Ashland is my school Richmond is my home town: I'll be there. Come and get it
When you put in your 8.25 did you use the center hole in the perch or slide it back so the spring pin was in the front hole. I dont know about you but I barely had any room at the front of the wheel well. So I slid mine back and gained an 1 1/2" of wheel base and needed clearance.
put that bumper on and call me so I can see it dood. and lets go play in the woods, pronto.

I used the original center hole. Went back just like my 35 did. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
