Looking for some advice changing transfer case oil on my 2005 LJ. How often should this be changed? What is the best oil I should be using when I decide to do this? I bought my LJ used with 26,440 miles on it and as far as I know it’s probably never been changed. It’s going on 15 years old. Any advice would be helpful. FYI already had the tranny changed.

It should be checked after any water crossing.
I change mine once a year, use Mopar fluid.
