Never pulled an engine before and need some guidance. I'm looking at the 1-ton shop crane from HF: http://www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-capacity-foldable-shop-crane-61858.html
I know it can handle the weight, but the specs say the boom only has a range of 69-5/8 in. to 82 in. Is 12 inches of travel enough to get the engine out? Also, how do I get the engine on the ground (pallet) once I have it out?
Looking at the specs of the 2-ton crane, it's only got 4 inches more travel.
I know people do this stuff all the time, but I can't seem to visualize the process. I've been searching youtube, but not having much luck.
Thanks!
