hi, i have a couple questions for you guys and gals first one and i feel silly , i just got a 2007 jeep grand cherokee rocky mountain edition can someone tell me what the letters for this jeep is like for example the cherokee ( xj ). second question i am in deep need of some new tires, used car dealers don't seem to give you a new set anymore, i would prefer to go to firestone being that i have a credit card from them but i don't have to , i'm looking for smooth , quiet, don't do any off road but we do get bad winters sometimes here in michigan . what tires should i get and what ones should i stay away from based on your experience, i always found the best tires ever were michellin's for smoothness and quiet, but maybe for the grand cherokee there is a better option, i am planning on keeping this jeep for a long, long time so i want to get the best , and only have to buy them once. tx for your:grin2: help.

You have a WK. Check this forum out for more info on that body style specifically: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/

Tires and wheels are discussed here, often though about off road stuff: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f15/

I don't have much experience with street tires. I had a lot of trouble with a set Mickey Thompson all-terrains. Goodyear Duratracs are one of my favorite all around tire for something that does see some off road use, but may be too aggressive for you. Any M+S rated name brand tire will probably serve you well in the snow.
