The Hall of Fame 4x4 Trail Riders Club has a history that spans over three decades. The Hall of Fame Trail Riders was started in the early 1970's by Denny Good and George Bush. Petty Jeep and Marine was the sponsoring dealership and the club was affiliated with East Coast 4WD (EC4WD). In the late 1970's the club was in it's hay-day. The club put on many events including car shows, road rallies, and co-sponsored the annual swap meet with the Stark County Street Rodders at the Stark County Fairgrounds. With the proceeds from these events, they leased around 30 acres of property just south of Dundee, Ohio where they built a few trails, a drag strip, and a campground. Many of it's members spent numerous enjoyable weekends at the club grounds. The club has seen many members come and go over the years, but has always managed to maintain a core group of around twenty members until the early 1980's when many members moved on to other interests. Eventual, around 1985, the club quit meeting. Eventually a new group of "hardy souls" lead by Jason Adams, Bill Wagner, and Jim Keogh rekindled the "Jeep Spirit." The first meeting after years was held at Walther's Cafe in early 2002. Club meetings are still held at Walther's Cafe on the third Sunday of each month. The Hall of Fame 4x4 Trail Riders Club was officially incorporated on August 15, 2002. Today HOF 4x4 has over 40 active members and nearly 150 forum members with new members joining monthly. | ||||||||||
