Getting the doors off, and then IN the Jeep?

I never took my doors off of my 2014 JK. When I tried last year, I couldn't do it. So I recruited my son-in-law to help me jack them up and get them off. I bought the bushings kit from Quadratec, but it hasn't arrived and shouldn't arrive until Tuesday.

My daughter lives 90 minutes away, and said her husband can help me on Monday (Memorial Day). I said great- I can put the new bushings in when they arrive and that should be fine. The mirrors come on Tuesday as well, but I will have the rear view mirror so I'm (sorta) legal.

Here's my dilemma- if we take the doors off at his house (because of his equipment and garage set up), I don't think the doors will fit IN the Jeep to bring them home. Or will they? Anyone have advice or tips on how to manage this if we get lucky enough to get the doors off finally?

This is specifically for doors, but my dad uses a generic HF hitch mounted cargo carrier on his JK.

If you get them off and don't have the new bushings just clean and grease up the old bushings and put the doors back on for the ride home. The bushings are a pot metal and corrode. That's why the hinges stick in the bushings.

JK or JKU?

It's a JK sport. I tried last summer to get them off and didn't have a jack or a pulley to help me, and my son-in-law is a big hulking 44 year old, with all the tools.

Thanks for the tip- I was thinking that could work, but I'm pretty sure the bushings are pretty beat up so I appreciate your advice. The new bushings, mirrors and that tool (looks like a small socket wrench) arrive Tuesday.
