I live in the upper midwest. I dont generally expect to see a rusted out frame on a 25 year old vehicle, body panels sure, not frame.

here in eastern Canada, TJ frames needed patch work in as little as 6 years. Not the Jeeps fault, just the brutal conditions. Mud from off roading mixed with salt and the calcium chloride brine used on the roads mean that they didn’t stand a chance.

I had one of those with the same problem. Jeeps are notorious for rusted frames. I think it is because they wee built with that Chinese metal

they were all like this….CJs, YJs especially (which I promise you weren’t built with Chinese steel). The hard steel they used wasn’t really treated and is prone to rust if hit with mud and salt…the factory holes the frames had didn’t help lol
