Pros It's supposed to be pretty tough
Cons I want the Teraflex 4:1 kit
Recommended yes

Comments: Factory installed in a lot of CJ's. Good transfer case overall, even better with the 4:1 kit installed

Pros Size, legendary strength, compatibility, aftermarket products.
Cons none
Recommended yes

Comments: I immediately added the Terra-Low kit to this and consider this, with the terra kit, the third best upgrade I've ever made to a Jeep. It's quiet, reliable and I can walk outside the vehicle in granny-low....uphill! woo-hoo!

Pros holds up well
Cons n/a
Recommended yes

Comments: i have beat this transfer case and it keeps holding up. the direct gear driven case has its pluses over chains since it cannot stretch out but is it is needed to make sure that good fluid is in the case and change it once in a while.

Pros Great, Reliable Trans. Case
Cons Small gasket leak
Recommended yes

Comments: So far I have only owned the Jeep for 6 months, small gasket leak. Other than that I can't complain about the 300.
