"The recommended mixture is 50/50 ethylene-glycol and low mineral content water. Never use pure antifreeze. Only Mopar Antifreeze Coolant, 5 Year/100,000 Mile Formula (glycol base coolant with corrosion inhibitors called HOAT) is recommended. This coolant offers the best engine cooling without corrosion when mixed with 50% distilled water."
Valvoline makes the Zerex G-05 which AFAIK is the correct stuff. AZ has a $5/gal rebate.
This new coolant does not mix with the green stuff, so must wash out all the old and replace with new.
I just bought this last weekend, but struggling with the best method to wash out all the old green stuff. I don't want to touch the block plug; don't want to drain the radiator & fill with water drive 'til hot multiple times. I've seen posts about attaching a hose to a 'T', but doesn't sound like the 'green' thing to do.
Any Suggestions?
