Trying to clean up the old parking brake pedal and would like to powdercoat it but I need to remove the rubber stopper(?). I don't think it can take the heat from the oven. Any idea if this comes apart?

It's the part circled in yellow.

Mine looks like it’s peened on. Perhaps grind it off and replace it with a carriage bolt and a nylock fastener. Definitely wouldn’t be concourse though.

They can probably mask it, although you will have some unfinished spots as the brake is cycled on/off. Where it's located, probably won't be an issue.

Hi AAHH he's power coating it and that takes baking.. rubber won't take the heat most likely

I powder coated mine after taking that piece off. You basically have two choices, either grind the washer off the rivet stud or cut the rubber piece off and then powder coat.
When powder coating is done, put the rubber piece back on and glue it back together if you left the washer in place. Or, what I did was to drill and tap the stud rivet for a screw to hold a washer and the rubber piece back on.
