Long time reader, first time poster here,

(1992 Cherokee Laredo np231)
So, in my haste to get my output shaft seal replaced last night, I decided to use a screwdriver instead of a seal puller to remove the old leaky seal… dumb move.
I managed to get the seal out but chipped a small piece of the output shaft housing in the process. (Linked photo) I put the chipped piece back in place but you can see where it’s broke

Does anyone one know how detrimental that is the the seal’s ability to well, seal? Should I opt for a new one from crown or eBay or leave it? Any opinions or tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
