Hey guys. I'm from Versailles but live in Lex while I'm going to school. Looks like a great idea and I would love to be a part of this.
I would...but my 4wd is out right now. I need to get my gears and locker done in the front and a front DS lined up. After I get that done I'll be ready to go.we're going out camping/wheeling on saturday at HnH if you want to meet us at the Versailles road Speedway between BGparkway and the castle at 8am
That sounds great. :thumbsup:Ok cool man! Especially since we got the club up and running we are going to try and have a wheeling trip once a month or so. Would love to have you join the club.
Haha noting wrong with a little celebration :cheers2:yeah most of the guys are. then there are a bunch of of in the nky area. But probably 70% of the guys are from the lexington area. The meetings are going to be held in Gerogetown so it wont be that far from you
EDIT: sorry for any mis-spelled words or anything., Its my brothers 21st birthday![]()
My brother interned at Ashland over the summer in the IT department. Drove a red 1997 XJWatching this thread. I'm the only guy I know with an off-road vehicle that has taken it off-road on my own multiple times. Unfortunately I'm always alone and usually :hahaha: too worried about getting permanantly stuck to venture too far out.
May sign up at some point if my job holds out due to the recession. :brickwall
I'll be watching the website. Also, I work for Ashland and do all kinds of tech stuff for them, so if you guys need any help with IT crap, send me a PM.

Charlie...he was from EKUWhat was his name? I may have worked with him. We get interns in and out somewhat frequently.
Yeah he's back into paintball. He was just at my house today, I'll tell him next time I see him.Oh yeah, I know Charlie, Wilson. SQL guy. Good kid, did great work! Tell him Sean Greathouse says hi. He even put a note on my office once that said "Chrome don't get ya home" (even though I have no chrome on my Jeep.) :2thumbsup:
Pretty sure he plays paintball with another guy I work with regularly. Small world.
what model jeep do you have?I posted this on another thread but then found this one:
I live in the Louisville area and I've had my Jeep now for 2 1/2 years. Everything is stock on it. I'm wanting to get a suspension lift for it. Because I'm mechanically challenged with zero experience, I obviously want someone to do this for me. No clue as to what I need, where I should go to get it done, etc. Any advice would be great.
I don't know much about wranglers but it really just depends on what you want to do with your Jeep. What size tires you want and just how serious you want to be with it. Lift kits are really not all that hard to do...good kits come with good instructions. I put a Rubicon Express lift kit on my XJ when I was in high school. It took my and my buddy two days but we didn't know what the hell we were doing. And it's a great way to learn about your Jeep.1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport
