Best winch for the jeep?

EVERYTHING swings on your vehicle and planned usage. A guy wanting to get pulled out of a snow bank won't have the same "best winch" as a dedicated rock crawler pulling modified rigs of all weights up the "devils staircase", who won't have the best winch for someone using the winch for continuous industrial pulling.

Consensus says Warn makes the best winch. The really expensive Zeon series are US made, the less expensive Evo's, etc. are Chinese but Warn has parts for all of them if they need repair.
Other popular, less expensive options are Quadratec Q Series, Smittybilt X20, Harbor Freight Apex and Superwinch. The low end winches are Rugged Ridge, Traveller, Harbor Freight Badlands and other Amazon Chinese winches.

The best winch is the one you spent your hard-earned money on and because we are never wrong, in our mind, all the others are junk! There are a lot of good winches out there, buy something you can get parts for as any good winch can still fail.
