I purchased a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. I have been asking around to see which brand of lifts pepole prefer if cost were not an issue. I was looking for a 4" lift to run 33" tires and an looking for the best possible ride without getting something that may settle in a year or so. I plan to hang on to this jeep being that it has very low miles so I want something for the long haul. I may also be interested in a 6" long arm, but just don't know all that much about it. Any help would be appr

I installed the RE LA 5.5. Its a solid lift and everything you can break in rebuildable. My Jeep rides a thousand times better with the LA. Everything lined up at the install. Other than needing a set of extra hands, the lift install was straight forwrd.

I have a Rubicon Express lift as well. I started with the 3.5" super flex and now have a 4.5" long arm. I ran the 3.5 short arm for about 5 years and I never noticed significant settling, and all I ever did maitaince wise was to replace the flex joint bushings a couple times. This is a good lift.

I've heard that Teraflex is the most trusted name out there. they have high quality products that will work well with your stock components.

On the first Jeep I ever owned though (YJ) I got a random no name brand and never had any problems with it.

On the TJ and JK i've gone with Teraflex 3" which is a great lift that fits 35s on a JK and 33s on a TJ

Forget Rubicon Express.

Buy a TNT Customs Treks 5.5" Long Arm. I did my research for three months on this one.

Try rebuilding the front trackbar heim joint on a RE.

The TNT lift includes rear shock relocation kit that frenches into the frame and has a weld on rear truss assembly. Also includes bent front LCA. Eliminates the rear trackbar. They use Rubicon Express springs and shocks.

The only thing I am going to add is the JKS ACOS PRO.

The TNT has a dual triangulated tri-four linkage in the rear that offers the best articulation without rear steer.

TNT uses Summit Flex Joints that are completely rebuildable and can be run without grease. Also, the guys I know that are running RE have to drill and tap grease zerk fittings after every run. The TNT grease zerks go up and won't get knocked off by a rock.

Ive got the Skyjacker 6 inch longarm and if i were you id stay clear. its junk!! Im goin to be putting an X-Factor Stretch kit on. with 4 link rear and 3 link front. Coilover all the way around. then im sure ill be happy.
good luck.. its a big decision.. but id have to agree with alot of the guys. The RE 5.5 LA is one of the best kits on the market. Id wish i would have gone with that for my first lift.

I run a 5.5 RE Tri-link there is no need for the rear trac bar currie tie-rod and currie trac bar front. I love it lots of flex and works great for the road. of course i wouldn't let just anyone drive it on the road.

I am in the same boat. I am not going to spend $500-$1000 just to get 33s under it. I want something that is built to last. I have been leaning towards the TeraFlex 4" PRO-LCG. My Rubicon is a daily driver, but I want to be able to hit the trails hard on my days off.
