So tonight I decided to put a new exhaust manifold in to get rid of an exhaust leak I've had for quite some time now.

I went and got a felpro gasket also but was feeling lazy and decided if the factory thought it was ok without one I would at least try the easy route first :laugh: sorry Sparrows!!

well I got it all bolted up and I ended up busting off the very last manifold bolt in the block... Mutha @&$%!! I started it up and listened for leaks and so far so good. Time will tell if anything develops and when that time comes ill pull both manifolds off and get that bolt out and put the gasket in.

You know the stupidest thing I ever did? I was replacing the exhaust header gasket on my '73 camero years and years ago. It required like a 3" extension to reach between the pipes to work one of the bolts out. I was backing the bolt out and just before the bolt came loose of the block, my wrench wedged against one of the "A" upper control arm bolts.

I tried turning it one more time just to see if it would come out but nope, the bolt still had about 1/4" of threads in the block and now the control arm bolt was totally cutting into the back of my socket wrench, on top of the lever that switches it from "in/out." Couldn't drive it back in, couldn't back it out, couldn't even turn the wrench any more lol.

Had to get out the sawzall to fix that booboo. The vibration and pressure ended up stripping the block threads so I had to retap that too.

Thought I'd share my dumb bolt story lol!

Not a whole lot to update.. Got my winch wired back up finally, time to spool up the new cable I got. Threw the top back on the jeep to keep out the dirty bums and tweekers downtown and drove it to school today.

The 35s are not bad at all on the freeway. I think it really moves 65-70 mph up into the powerband nicely. Trying to make it up a long hill on the freeway is another story!!

Here she is out of her habitat. Muddy 35s lookin boss I think!

Daytime pic with the redone uppers (still not happy with them) and the aluminum panels. I'll see if I can have the photoshop guys work up some designs for the panels.

Also did a white smoke seafoam treatment for the neighbors with windows open lol :shhh:

Paint the rest of the top to match the uppers?
Looks good though! I want slider windows sooooooooooo bad!

Sold the lightbar and ordered a new rear shock and I was so impressed with how these hold up I bought a whole set of these!! Not a bad deal for $30

There going to hold my spare d35 shafts to my trail box which I think is a cool idea.

It comes with 4 regular sized clamps, 2 mini (1 for my rigid industries torch), and 2 large ones big enough for an extinguisher or whatever

I LOVE quickfists! Where did you find the pack at? $30.00 is a great deal for all that!

I got it 4wheelparts. $32.99 to be exact. They're 2 min from my school so I usually pop in there when I need stuff vs ordering bc I like to look around. Almost walked out with some speed tire deflators but u had to stop myself, it was a want vs need and I have a problem with impulse shopping.

I'm kinda glad I don't have a store like that around here,
I couldn't resist myself. I'm pretty sure I would just hang out in there, all day, every day!

It was a blast, ash is pretty fearless with big blue, so we can thank him for all the trail choices :laugh: it was my first time wheeling out in east Mesa. the run in the video wasn't even a trail, it was a severely rutted out water run off that we used as the trail exit haha
