Thanks. I took my jeep to them and had them fit it. I dont know if just going off of lift height will work since your front axle may or may not be in the same location as stock. Also you need to make sure you get the right yokes to go with the shaft.hey man how do you like that front driveshaft? im at 6.5 LA and am looking for a good drive shaft. did you just call them up, tell them your lift height and setup and they made it? done deal? truck looks sick as hell man. good work.
Need closeupsThe main part is 4"x4"x3/8" wall square tube. I found 2 40" pieces of that at work in the scrap and I had 2 10" pieces left over. All of the mounts are 3/8" flat plate and the filler and side pieces are all 1/4" plate. I dont know how much plate I used.
I like the hmmvee tires you had on it, They looked good for street and not too aggressive for the road but looks to be capable off-road too. I think I am going to copy those from youThere has been a little going on with the jeep. I did get the front control arms mounts moved up higher with a clayton's crossmember. With the ford radius arms in front my caster is now off and it cant be adjusted. So Im planning on a new front axle. Either get a 77 f150 hp44 housing and swap all of my stuff to it, or if I have the money build a 609.
I have started to make a belly skid out of some 1/2" T6061 aluminum. I also sold the Iroks, so some new tires and maybe beadlocks in the near future.
BB and 285/16's are cheap enough I got a used set mounted and balanced for $150. I know the feeling about saving up for upgrades. I am still collecting parts, got most of it now just need a few more things.Sounds like a blast with what you've got going on. I picked up a 79' GMC K10 4x4 with a 305 topped by a 4b carb. Going to fix it up and make it a wheeler/hauler/dd.
Just rebuilt the carb today. Still got our 02' wj just paying it off then i can do some mods to it.
