Just as the title askes, anyone nearby with some offroad spots? I have one down the parkway under the overpass at the TN River!

If you guys haven't heard, a fellow wheeler, Gavan Young from California lost both his wife and the baby she was carrying in a terrible accident.

(Mods, if this link is a problem, let me know and I will delete it)

If you have a second, send a card or a personal note to:
Pirate Media Group
C/O Gavan Young
PO Box 5395
El Dorado Hills, CA 95762

Some folks are including a single dollar bill, as a show of support and to help him with some of the bills that I am sure he will be struggling with. One dollar isn't much, but if a bunch of wheelers send him one, they will add up. If you don't want to send any cash, just a card or note would help tremendously as well.
Wow!!! That is more than any one human should ever have to go through......
I would like to, but I think I have a wedding that night. I might at least go for most of the day pending what comes up with this wedding. I am interested in checking out this park and how it compares to Hale. At $20 plus gas, I hope its got something challenging. Any word if they have a map yet?
$20 aint too horrible, and the word 'Gas' should be somewhere in the "this is your only warning" thread from the Stickies!:nono:

The whole gas thing isn't really a problem for me cause I have the 4 angry squirrels and they get 18-22mpg :highfive: I'm just cheap.

When Hale Mt is $15 and has a ton of trails that challenge my jeep and me as a driver, its kinda hard to fork up the extra $5. But its worth going at least once. Besides, I'm a college kid and i only get paid minimum wage.
Same for 'MPG' , just a Jeep thing. But your right, the price should go down some, time will tell!

So your a member of the RCRC's. Is it worth it? I though about meeting them before, but some people told me they are stuck up (or something to that effect).
Me and some folks are hopefully meeting up in Gurley on July 7th to test out the new offroad part outside of Paint Rock. You should join us!
Not sure if I'll have everything put together by then, but if I do, care if I join yall?

I am.:D You should come to a meeting sometime, maybe a ride or two. Most everybody is pretty cool and nice. I heard the same thing before i joined. In a group you always get some that are a little stuck up, but i haven't met any yet. I just joined back in November.

When I joined we went on a lot of rides pretty often, but it seemed like everyone kept breaking there stuff and now there are very few rides.

I joined because my normal wheeling group was just busy with school, work, and rebuilding there jeeps and we only went 3 to 5 times a year. I was hoping to go at least once a month, and it was like that, but it was just up to some private land.

School and a new job have made it to where i cant go to often because i have to work most weekends. I still manage to get out about once ever two months or so.

Ill go wheeling with anybody as long as they aren't going fro just mud or just easy stuff. I built my Jeep with rock crawling in mind, and it holds up to everything i put it through, so bring me a challenge!

Just added my name to the facebook jeep event. There's also a very slim chance I'll make it to Hollytree on the 7th.

It seems that more of the JK owners on other forums are stuck up (jk-forum is the worst) and I have a neighbor (from another forum or two) with a JK who thinks that way. I come from a working construction now truck driver background and it seems the new breed of Jeep owners are engineers and such who look down on us blue collar workers. Also RCRC as a group welcomes all and treats all with equal respect.

So engineers with jeeps in general are stuck up? Haven't noticed that trend. Most of the engineers I know drive big trucks.

Fixed it.
significant others welcome?
Yes of course, if they fit in the cab.
But it really does seem that the white collar JK Jeep owners think they are a special breed. There is a member here that I have waved to, while in my LJ and he sticks his nose up and looked the other way. Other times I've gotten a good wave from him while I'm in my JKU. I try to wave at anybody who appears to be in this hobby be it in a Jeep, Toy, trucks and others.

Yep. I can confirm that a lot of JK/JKU owners ride around with there nose in the air. Generaly speaking, it's mainly a result of the jobs they have that allows them to afford it, same with any other new car. I really could care less though, it's all about enjoying the hobby.

What really "Grinds My Gears" is when I meet a Jeep owner and he doesn't know **** about what he's got.:brickwall:brickwall:brickwall

Glad you all are so interested in our swing-gate party!
Checking in from Madison. I'll be at Hollytree on the 7th, but I'm gonna be riding with some family and their RZR. Probably see yall out there
Welcome LJ! :cheers2:

This is turning into a wave thread? Really??

I try to wave at every lifted Jeep or pretty much any Wrangler/CJ. If I don't know them, I wave at the Jeep, not the person. So I don't expect a wave back. When I do get the wave back, it is cool. If I don't, well thats ok too. It's nothing to get bent outta shape about. They might not have seen me. Or, they just don't get it. Their loss, not mine.

Damn it. Now yall got me posting about waving too ................ :brickwall

Has a location been determined for the M&G? My vote (for what its worth) is for Ditto Landing.
If we go to Ditto, price could range between 200-300 for a pavillion. Monte Sano is quite cheaper, but I like the idea of Ditto best. We really just need a sponsor ASAP.

Update: Just called them, Ditto's saying $600, uhhh... click.
What I can't stand are the women no offense to any if they are on here they drive lifted jks and they have one cause they want one and the will never go into 4wheel drive and when you wave i get the look of who are you waving at and I dont care my jeep is better than yours or the famous F*** off look
