At the same time, my AC stopped running cold and that distinct antifreeze burning smell occurred. I found out it was empty, so I refilled my coolant tank.

The AC still isn't cold, and the coolant burning smell is still happening.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check the coolant line going right across the AC compressor. It may of leaked or burned out and caused your issue.
