In 82 the hardtop is not plastic, and not light weight. They are heavy fiberglass 76-86.
The outside is completely smooth. No ribs or rsised where the rear seat starts.

76-79 and maybe up until 1980, the hardtops were one piece, injection molded, polycarbonate. Completely smooth on the outside.
After that, they became four piece fiberglass sections molded together at the factory. And will have horizontal seams by the side glass and vertical seam at the rear section.
