So I’m at the point where I can put 35’s, regear and lockers in my LJ. I’ve found two LJ’s on 35’s for inspiration. One is a forum member, WhiteRubi06. I reached out but the post is from wayyyy back and the member may not be active. I’m trying to determine if the jeeps in the photos are on 10.5 or 12.5 wide tires. Anyone have a way to tell?

12.5 is too wide for stock wheels, they bulge way out. Your tires shouldn't be more than a couple inches wider than your wheels.
Those are 10.5.

Im thinking they are 12.5 now. Both are bfg mud terrain and they don’t offer them in 35x10.5.

Many people run a 12.5 on 8" wide rims, not at all unusual. If running a stock wheel, you will need a wheel spacer to get enough inner clearance due to the factory wheels offset.

Gee whiz info, but the two LJs in the first post have Moab rims which are 16" diameter. If the tires shown are close to 35" diameter, that would most likely make them 315/75R16s which are 34.6x12.3" in size.

I did, which intrigued me enough to look up the actual dimensions from the manufacturer, which is where I found out its a Not a true 35x10 as advertised, and it's DEFINITELY not a 35x10.5, which is what I actually stated

Kenda Klever is available in 35/10.5-17.

There are a number of tires in 285/75-18. I prefer a narrow tire myself for most terrain.

I'm running 35x12.5x15s on 10" wide rims. Looks and works pretty good, no spacers required.
