Last weekend I was installing new idler pulleys on my JKU, 3.6L. When I went to reinstall the pulley with the longer bolt on the drivers side, I could tell that the bolt hole was about to strip out - I could not torque it down to spec. I want to use Time Serts on this bolt hole. Has anyone else had this issue come up with either one of the idler pulley bolt holes - Did you use Time Serts or Helio Coils? If you used time serts, were you able to install them straight into the pulley mounting surface on the timing chain cover or did you have to remove the cover to access the block? Thanks, looking forward to your help/advice on this.
