I have a 14 Grand Cherokee Summit with HID bulbs. I recently noticed that my driver side bulb went completely out and I have tried everything I can think of and can't get it to work.

Things I've tried with no luck:
-Tried switching working passenger side bulb to driver
-Bought two new xenon bulbs
-Bought a new ballast
-Switched the working passenger side ballast to the driver side
-Checked both driver and passenger headlight fuses

At this point I'm lost on what to try next. I see on the part diagram that there is an igniter for the bulb but, to me, it seems that if that was bad the bulb would be dim not completely out but I'm just guessing. Does anyone have any ideas?

There may be a relay. Looks like you may need to probe the harness. The TIPM could have failed. At the moment I'm watching the NCAA wrestling tournament. If no one jumps in by the time I get out of bed tomorrow, I'll see if I can find the post/thread that covers tis fault, its been talked about before.

I ended up finding the issue. Somehow the plug on the headlight assembly that accepts the ballast module came loose and pushed into the headlight housing. The retaining clips that hold the receptacle broke and I believe it just vibrated loose over time until the headlight stopped working.

Thanks for the input.
