Alright,
Background
07 Diesel, gde eco tune, dpf delete. Really smelly exhaust, no codes. No sure what to check. I do have a small leak in my charged air cooler...could I just be running really rich? It is a little smokey on start up.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

The code points to EGT exhaust gas temp over limit. Did you physically remove your DPF? if not, it's likely getting glogged and no regen to clean due to it being tuned out via GDE.
If you did physically delete the DPF, and tuned it out, your code still indicates high EGTs, could be due to a plugging cat, or a failing injector (pissing fuel, bad spray pattern and too much fuel) would lead to both high EGTs and a fuelly smell, and if the smoke is blueish black, indicates unburnt diesel. My suspicion is a bad injector.

A good code reader should let you see live data values and may allow you to pinpoint the issue further.
