So my left turn signal sometimes works fine, but other times it buzzes loudly and doesn't work unless I put pressure on the switch in the down position - like holding the left signal on. The right turn signal works fine. The hazards also work flawlessly. I'm thinking it's probably the switch...

Hi, I just noticed today after performing an oil change that there is a click coming from the turn signal when I turn the wheel, with the turn signal off. I imagine it's the thing that tells the turn signal to turn off when you turn your wheel, but I have no idea. Is this a common issue? It...

I have trawled may threads and can't find a solution. I have Kaos I can't solve for. I replaced a turn signal switch in my steering column. Now, I have gone from working lights to a mess ( and they all worked after I fully re-wired with a painless harness and had all working fine). 1. when I...

Hi all. I have a 99 sahara V6 that I've had for about a month and there are some really strange things going on and I wonder if it could all be related or if I'm in for a lot of different repairs. 1. The right turn signal only blinks when I give the engine a little gas. When braking or sitting...

I have a 1993 YJ which I recently took off roading. Now whenever I turn a very sharp left, especially into an incline, the jeep makes a terrible grinding noise from underneath the car. Car has to be going at least 5 MPH. Any ideas? I think it might be a joint, but I am not sure. Thanks.

Jeep pops and clicks when turning. I know there are a number of things that could cause this, but what are the most common ones to start with?

Good news everyone. If you have issues with the factory flashed sticking on, just do to it like everything else on a ZJ..... Open it up and re-solder all of the joints. I got tired of hearing the aftermarket flashed constantly clicking. Works just like new!!!!!! Pain in the butt to get open...

I am fixing up a 1980 CJ5 with the GM 151 4-cylinder engine. The engine overheated while driving and turned off as I coasted to a stop. The engine will not start but does turn over and is not seized. I checked the plugs and was not getting a spark. I pulled the distributor cap and the...

I have a 99 TJ 6cyl 5spd with D35 rear diff and sitting on massive 29" tires, lol. Recently when I'm on the highway and going 60+ mph and have to turn slightly to change lanes there is a loud howling-type sound coming from the rearend. Sometimes its only when I turn right, but sometimes its...

Hearing a clunking sound underneath my 2000 TJ when making left turns. It seems to be getting worse. I know… this is another “name that funny noise” post. I already have a few in the JK forum. It’s sad, she’s got 170,000 miles on her and she’s up for inspection and I think this one might be...

I'm having a steering clunk everytime I turn the wheel slightly to the left. You can also slightly feel it in the wheel. I laid under the Jeep while my buddy turned the wheel but can't pinpoint it. Seems to be coming from above the steering box. Any ideas on what can cause this or needs to be...

I've got about 167,000 on my 99 Wrangler (about 80K) I've done myself and as far as I know, the drums have never been replaced or turned. How do you know when this needs to be done? I'm hearing this rubbing noise coming from my rear right drum and I can't figure out what it is. I'm 85% sure...

My jeep has recently started squealing tires on turning. I didnt think nothing of it when it first started cause she always squealed in tight turns. But this has became a everyday thing now, so bad as to when i turn into my parking place she squeals. I also noticed that on my way to Nashville...

So my Jeep seems to have developed a clunking noise when I am steering. At first I thought it was the aftermarket steering stabilizer (the kind that is attached to the trackbar and the tie rod) rubbing a bit, but that's not completely it. When turning sharply with acceleration every once in...

I installed a 2" REBB about 2 months ago. Soon after installation I started hearing a "popping" noise from the front end. The noise mostly only happened when i went over a bump or a rough section of road. It was pretty loud but did not happen when I turned the wheel. After checking all bolts...

I am looking at buying my first Jeep this month. Last night I test drove a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4 for the first time. I noticed that there was a grinding type of noise when I turned the wheel for a sharp turn to the left or right when not moving or moving very slowly. The salesman said...
