When running the tune, my Jeep will get hot (Coolant first then oil) during going up normal mountains or even small hills at any speed. Only when running the Tune though. I called GDE and...

I am working on what may be a heat soak problem on my 6cyl 2001 Sport. I will add the mopar insulator or other insulation but I will be spending time in very hot places. I plan to add a switch to make the AC fan switchable but is there one that can run on after the engine shuts off like modern...

I just installed a Derale 20161 Jeep Wrangler Direct Fit Electric fan in my 2002 TJ. I need to hook up the green wire to a 12 volt source to my AC switch. So when I turn on my AC the fan will start. Where do I do that at? would I need to go to the compressor? Or it there a wire closer in the dash?

Hello all, Belive this is in the right area, if not please let me know.... While looking at switch options on eBay yesterday I stumbled on these TJ Switches, they look similar to the stock OEM XJ switches. My question is has any one in the XJ community used these in the stock switch location...

Here’s a quick way to test the electronic fan circuit to determine if the relay and fan are working. All you need is a jumper wire and can test both components at once. No need for a volt meter or bench testing either part off the car. To test only the relay, disconnect the fan connector (at...

Hey guys, i have an 85 cj7 with a 258. I was 4xing on the weekend and lost another radiator due to my fan hitting the tank and gouging it open. Hello...a few days ago my fan stopped working. The AC and Heat still worked, it just did not blow. Tonight, I replaced the blower resistor and to my delight the fan was blowing perfectly. Except...I quickly realized I could not turn off the fan and it is blowing as if was on high. If I move the...

Guys, I have a 78 wagoner 5.9 "n" and I have done a lot of tuning and it runs well. But at night when I have to run the lights it pulls a lot of power and if I turn on the fan it will die shortly after. When I try to restart it the battery is dead. once I jump it, it starts right up but it...

So I don't post here a lot, but wanted to say that this is a fantastic resource for Jeep owners, especially my wife's XJ. I have had a few problems I've tackled over the years, but one has come back to haunt me. I've never applied the cylinder 3 injector insulation, and we've occasionally had...

Hi all, I just started noticing some strange sounds coming from the heating and a/c vents. When the fan is on, I'm hearing a chirping sound, similar to a cricket. It doesn't really change with the fan speed, but does cease when the fan is shut off. Any ideas? Before I tear the dash apart or...

I'm back with another noob question here... Do all XJ's have auxiliary (electric) fans? Mine doesn't and it starts to warm up too much when sitting in traffic on a hot summer day. Sometimes, on a very long hill climb it will overheat in the summer too. There are little slots at/near the...

Hey guys, 2003 Liberty with 165,000 and a 6cyl. Last November I noticed some major overheating while taking a trip from Vegas to Phoenix (decent mountain traveling through the desert). I was able to solve the problem temporarily with some added coolant and a decent break from the road. Well...
