Bought new in '00. DD until given to daughter in 2011. Traded her my '02 Grand Cherokee WJ to get this one back so I could "play" with it. Needs lots of work. The bad: Floor pans gone, rocker panels rusted through, door bottoms rotted out, rust spots on body, springs sagging, broken sway bar link, original shocks, radiator leaks, 10 year old battery, fluids all need changing, check engine light on...and radio/cassette doesn't work.
The good: Starts and runs great, "only" 147k miles, newish Goodyear Wrangler tires.
Planning on installing a RE 3.5 Super Ride lift with full spring pack and monoshocks, RC adjustable track bar, IRO Hack & Tap Sye with rebuilt JY front drive shaft, MIG weld new floor pans, and sheet metal where needed, replace rocker panels with welded on Rect. tube rock sliders, fix all rust and treat with Rust Stop, coat with bed liner. replace all fluids, new radiator, new battery, new audio system and more fun stuff.
