Bought new from Bloomington Chrysler/Jeep as an Indiana State Bid QPA tag along order for the New Richmond Town Marshal. My dad was the marshal and ordered a black 97 Cherokee, with air conditioning, manual windows, power locks, rear defrost, and driver's side Unity S5 Spotlight. I was in middle school and got to go with him to pick it up (His first ever new police car). He got the the installer shop and found a green and a white pair of Cherokees, but no black ones. He was about to refuse delivery on the white one, which was said to be his, until he realized it had power locks, windows, mirrors, etc which back then and where I was from was a big deal. He died in the line of duty in 2003, within sight of this vehicle actually, and I bought it in 2014. I stupidly wound up using it as a daily and inadvertently thrashing on it. It's currently unroadworthy and awaits further work.
